Elizabeth grew up writing alongside her mother, Karen—an author, editor, and publisher who taught her to believe that every voice deserves to be heard. Their nights spent writing, editing, and sharing stories shaped Elizabeth into the writer and editor she is today. After Karen’s passing in 2011, writing became a way for Elizabeth to process her grief and preserve their connection. Since then, she has written seventeen novels and edited more than one hundred novels, novellas, and short stories.
Through Little Ellie’s Oddities, Elizabeth carries forward her mother’s mission: to help emerging authors share their stories through publishing that is personal, accessible, and affordable.
History and Vision
Literary Work
Elizabeth primarily writes fantasy and speculative fiction, weaving her lived experiences into intricately imagined worlds and richly developed characters. From dragons and dying worlds to futuristic societies and gaslamp mages, her stories explore the human condition—particularly how we are shaped not only by life’s most loving moments, but also by the darkest depths of the human experience.
Elizabeth is the author of seventeen novels spanning fantasy, speculative fiction, science fiction, and literary fiction. Her works include The Knighting of Dehnial Malockson, The Rise of Willheim Quinn, The Crowning of Isalina Dumouridan, Wardwriters, Golden Sun; Silver Moon, A Mist of Morning, The Touched Wanderer, The Watchmaker, and the Republic Saga: The Academy, State Training, and Graduation.
Education and Experience
Elizabeth considers her ADHD—combined presentation—both a challenge and an unexpected gift. Homeschooled for much of her education, she developed a remarkably diverse range of skills, including music production, graphic design, and game design. Although she originally intended to attend the Rhode Island School of Design, her fascination with science, discovery, and the esoteric ultimately led her in another direction.
Elizabeth studied Medical and Molecular Biology at MCPHS University for seven years, with a minor in pre-medical studies. During her time there, she earned a 3.94 GPA and was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
It was not until adulthood that Elizabeth received her ADHD diagnosis and began treatment, lifting what she describes as a lifelong “fog.” With newfound clarity, she realized she did not need to confine herself to a single discipline. Instead, she chose to unite her creativity, curiosity, and analytical experience in the work she loves most: helping writers uncover the brilliance within their stories and bring their voices into the world.

Little Ellie’s Oddities began as Elizabeth’s dream of creating a space where she could let her creativity loose and explore every element of storytelling. From editing and developmental guidance to typography, interior formatting, and book-cover concepts, she helps authors shape their stories into the works they were always meant to become.
That mission is rooted in the legacy of Elizabeth’s mother, Karen, who dreamed of becoming a published author. After achieving that dream, Karen began offering her editing services to other debut writers who needed a more accessible path into the literary world. Little Ellie’s Oddities carries that purpose forward by giving emerging authors the guidance, encouragement, and practical support they need to be heard.
Above all, Elizabeth believes in the beautiful imperfections of the human touch. She works with new writers to demystify the craft and show them that writing is something they can learn. She also welcomes authors with a wide range of perspectives on artificial intelligence—from those who avoid it entirely to those who use it selectively. Her approach emphasizes ethical, transparent use: AI may assist with brainstorming, plot consultation, or organization, but it should never replace an author’s imagination, lived experience, creative judgment, or individual voice and writing style. By teaching writers to recognize the artifacts of generated prose and understand the literary devices beneath effective storytelling, Elizabeth helps them protect the secret language that makes writing distinctly human.
